How It Started
Not only did I grow up in a small business family, I've been self-employed since 2010, and WOW, have things changed!
My original career was as your friendly, neighborhood hairstylist. Back in the olden days when I first got started, we kept color formulas on index cards and scheduled all of the appointments via a landline telephone at the salon.
Fast-forward 13 years and by the time I left the industry, we had apps that measured the cost of our color down to the gram and online appointment booking with automated reminders.
Along the way, I got interested in online business and tech, took up a side hustle as a virtual assistant, and the rest, as they say, is history.
How It's Going
Since my full-time move online, I've found my sweet spot to be swooping in, cleaning up a mess, and then sending business owners along their way to do the work they love and do best.
What this looks like in practice? Helping business owners both locally and online with things like:
- Hosting vendor events and online bundles;
- Creating systems and standard operating procedures;
- Helping with basic tech implementation;
- Small business consulting.
All of this work helps business owners get back to the work they enjoy, all while knowing the business operations are running smoothly and reducing annoying back-end business tasks!
And people say I'm pretty decent at it, too...
I am SO proud of myself! I feel all grown up like I'm no longer throwing spaghetti and shooting from the seat of my pants and making stuff up along the way. Like I can actually plan and predict what I'm doing! 🤩
