Getting Our Work Started in a Few Easy Steps:


1. Sign Your Contract

You will receive an email from Jotform to review and sign your contract. This outlines our work together, how we can expect to interact, and what is expected of each of us.

2. Connect for Messaging

You will receive an invitation to your very own Slack channel, or, if we have discussed, you may invite me to your company messaging platform. This is where day-to-day communication and updates happen.

3. Create Credentials

I will need access to many of the accounts attached to the projects. This may need to happen by me being granted admin access to certain things -or- by you sharing your passwords. I always recommend LastPass for secure password sharing.

4. Share Your Files

Watch this onboarding video to learn how to share files with me for our project(s). You will find the link to your unique form for file sharing in your onboarding email as well as pinned to the top of your Slack channel.

Working Hours and Expectations


My working hours are:

Monday - Thursday 10am to 6pm EST

Friday - 10am to 1pm ET

As stated in my contract: While I am generally available during these hours, and I may be available during these times, I will not be required to follow or establish a regular daily work schedule and my communications are not to be regarded as on-demand.

All requests received will be responded to within 24-48 business hours, barring any emergency that should arise.

I observe the following holidays/take time off during these dates:

Thanksgiving (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday)

Christmas (December 22-31)

Frequently Asked Questions


How/when do you expect payment?

For ongoing work, billing happens the first weekday of the month, unless otherwise specified in your contract, and you will receive an invoice via Square that is due upon receipt. Attached will be a time report of the time you are being billed for and how it was used.

For project packages, 50% of the package total is due to start work together, with the other 50% being due upon the delivery of final project deliverables, unless otherwise agreed upon. You will receive an invoice via Square that is due upon receipt, along with a Google Doc of the completed summary, -or- a tracked time report from Toggle. How soon can I expect to receive a message reply from you?

My hours are generally between 10am and 6pm EST Monday-Thursday. My maximum turnaround for messaging is 24-48 business hours, barring any emergency situations. While my response times are generally much faster than this, it should NOT be an expectation.

While those are my typical working hours, per our contract, I may or may not be available at any given time and will not be considered as an employee or required to keep any particular hours. Please plan in advance to make sure your needs are being met.

What if I need something that wasn't discussed in our original contract?

Any changes to project scope can be discussed during a call here or via email to kelsie@simplybentley.com.

I reserve the right to accept or decline any changes in the scope of our project. Any changes must be MUTUALLY agreed upon. As in, tasks outside of our original agreement are not “assigned” to me without prior authorization.
